|
|
This film is made up of two separate stories, both literary classics.
It begins with the tale of "The Wind in the Willows," and the story of Mr J. Thaddeus Toad, squire of Toad Hall, and his lover of transportation vehicles. His obsession leads to him losingf the deed to Toad Hall and being charged with car theft. He escapes from jail to find that Toad Hall has been taken over by Winkie the tavern-keeper and the weasels.
With the help of his friends, Rat, Mole and Angus MacBadger he recovers the deed to the estate and redeems his good name.
The film continues with the story of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," which follows a schoolteacher, Ichabod Crane, as he arrives in Sleepy Hollow. There he captures the heart of all the ladies apart from Katrina Van Tassel, who already has a suitor, Brom Bones. But Ichabod has his eye on the Van Tassel wealth and tries to woo Katrina, much to the annoyance of Brom, who tries to scare Ichabod off with tales of the Headless Horseman.
As Ichabod is travelling home one Halloween night, he encounters the Headless Horseman and mysteriously goes missing. Katrina weds Brom as rumors of Ichabod's whereabouts spread around the town.
68 minutes long.
