Dining Reservation Change

Advanced dining reservations, tour and recreation reservations can now only be made up to 90 days in advance rather than 180 days as previously. It’s not clear whether this is temporary or not.

Electronic Standing Vehicles

Starting in April 2009, guests will be able to rent Electronic Standing Vehicles in the Theme Parks. ESVs are similar to Segways, which Disney already uses on certain tours, but have four wheels instead of two so that they don’t tip over.

Resorts to Close?

Rumor has it that Disney plan to temporarily close one moderate and one value resort due to the effects of the credit crunch. There’s been no official word on this and it’s pure rumor at present. If it does go ahead guests booked at the Resorts to be closed would be moved to an alternative Resort.

American Idol Experience

Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ newest attration, the American Idol Experience is set to premiere on February 12, 2009.
