Event dates have been released for:

Epcot International Food and Wine Festival — September 25 – November 9, 2009

Candlelight Processional — November 27 – December 30, 2009

Star Wars Weekends — May 22 – June 14 2009

SeaWorld Prices Increased

SeaWorld Florida have today increased their ticket prices for the third time in 12 months. Single day tickets now cost $74.95. The price of a one-day ticket to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will increase to $69.95, and Aquatica to $44.95.
The big question is, will Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando follow?

No More Free Beer at SeaWorld & Busch Gardens

Busch Entertainment Corp. announced today that they are to end the free beer sampling which has long been a popular draw at the Florida theme parks. Starting at the end of January for Busch Gardens and February 1 for SeaWorld, the Hospitality Houses will close temporarily and will re-open without the free beer sampling.

Cinderella Castle Suite to Stay Open

The Cinderella Castle Suite, opened as part of the Year of a Million Dreams celebrations is to stay open through 2009, despite the celebrations having ended. The Suite will now be used as a prize in various promotions. Full story here.

New Dole Whip Flavor

Dole Whip fans can now choose orange-flavored Dole Whips as an alternative to pineapple, at Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom. See the menu here.

American Idol

The new American Idol Experience is scheduled to open February 14, with Annual Passholder previews being held February 5 – 8, 2009.

DISNEYLAND

Splash Mountain Height Requirement Increased

Disneyland have temporarily raised the height requirement for Splash Mountain from 40″ to 60″. According to spokesman Rob Doughty, this is so that they can “evaluate options to improve comfort and safety.” Full story here.

The “Celebrate Today!” Street Party will have it’s debut at Disneyland Park on March 27.
