Fastpass Test

Animal Kingdom have been testing out a centralized Fastpass distribution system. Fastpasses for Dinosaur, Expedition Everest and Kilimanjaro Safari were all available at the old “it’s tough to be a bug” Fastpass station. The usual Fastpass rules of one Fastpass at a time still applied, and Fastpasses were still available at the individual attractions.

New Monsters Inc. Coaster?

Rumors abound that a new Monsters Inc. coaster will be announced at the D23 Expo in September. Slated for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, either in Pixar Place or as a replacement for the Great Movie Ride. Watch this space!

New Tequila Bar

The new tequila bar set to open in Epcot’s Mexico pavilion is to be called La Cava del Tequila, and is due to open in time for this year’s Food & Wine Festival.

Kouzzina by Cat Cora

The new restaurant at Disney’s BoardWalk is due to open September 17, 2009. Advanced Dining Reservations can now be booked, either by phone or online.

Free Dining

Just in case you haven’t heard yet, Disney have released a new free dining offer, running from September 29 – December 17, 2009. Full details are here.

Half Marathon Full

The 2009 Disneyland Half Marathon has sold out, but there’s still time to register for the Kids’ Races. Kids up to the age of 8 can participate in fun races on Half Marathon weekend, and infants can do the Diaper Dash. Online registration here. The Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend runs September 4-6, 2009, with the Family Fun Run 5k and kids’ races on Saturday September 5.

New Show in the Works

It looks like a new show will debut on Disney Cruise Line later this year. Auditions are being held, with the main show characters being the Disney villains.
