Princess Tiana

The newest theme park character scheduled to soon make her debut in the Disney theme parks, Princess Tiana (back, center), made her very first public appearance Aug. 6, 2009 at the 2009 National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) Convention in Tampa, Fla. Princess Tiana is featured in the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures animated feature film, “The Princess and the Frog.” 
“The Princess and the Frog” film will premiere in theaters nationwide Dec. 11, 2009.

Princess and the Frog Riverboat Show

‘The Princess and the Frog’ riverboat show is coming to Disney World and Disneyland for the 2009 holiday season. “Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee” will debut at Disney World on October 26, and Disneyland on November 6, both running through January 3, 2010. The Mardi Gras-style musical show will feature a procession of musicians and performers parading through Frontierland at Disney World and New Orleans Square at Disneyland. Once the procession reaches the riverboat dock in each park, a group of pre-selected guests will board the riverboat where they will be able to meet Princess Tiana and other characters from “The Princess and the Frog.” The riverboat will stop along the waterfront for a performance of songs from the movie. The show will be performed several times each day.
