Character Meet & Greets

There are a few upcoming changes to character meet and greets throughout the “World” -
Donald Duck is to get his very own permanent meet and greet area in Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion.
Marie from the Aristocats is to make regular appearances at Epcot’s France Pavilion.
Buzz Lightyear is to get his own permanent meet and greet area in Tomorrowland, next to Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin.

Change in Animal Kingdom opening hours

Parts of Animal Kingdom will stay open beyond the published closing times on certain dates during August.
From August 16 – 22 — Africa and Asia will stay open until 6pm
From August 23 – 31 — Africa and Asia will stay open until 7pm.

Extra Dining

To meet demand during Disney’s “Free Dining” period, there are more extended hours and additional restaurant openings.
Mickey’s Backyard BBQ will have extra nights on August 18 & 25; September 1, 11, 15, 22, & 29.
Chef Mickey’s will open for lunch on the following dates: August 16 – 29, and September 20 – October 3, from 12:30 – 2:30 pm.
‘Ohana breakfast will be served until 12pm and dinner will start at 4:30pm from August 16 – 29, and September 20 – October 3.
Whispering Canyon Cafe dinner will start at 4pm from August 16 – 29, and September 20 – October 3.

Pirates League for MNSSHP

Guests wanting to visit the Pirates League for a makeover prior to attending Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party will be pleased to know that opening hours have been extended to 8pm for each night of the Party.

DISNEY CRUISE LINE

For travel beginning in 2010, Guests sailing on a Disney cruise can book pre- and post-nights for any length of stay at 18 select Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Ticket options are flexible too!

Pre- and Post-Nights

  • Available for any length of stay in conjunction with a Disney Cruise Line vacation
  • Choice of 18 select Walt Disney World Resort Hotels (Deluxe, Moderate and Value)
    • Resorts not included: Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground or the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels
  • Disney Cruise Line will continue to offer Guests the opportunity to check-in for their cruise at a select Walt Disney World Resort hotel as long as a minimum 2-night stay is confirmed on the reservation.

Ticket Options

  • Add a 1- to 5-day Magic Your Way Ticket with Park Hopper Option to your resort reservation as long as a one night stay is confirmed on the reservation.
  • Tickets must be purchased for all Guests on the reservation ages 3 and up.
