Wishes Dessert Party
The Wishes Dessert Party at the Magic Kingdom has again been extended, and is now set to run through December 29, 2009.
Typhoon Lagoon
Following on from the recent introduction of the Beachcomber Shacks at Typhoon Lagoon, guests can now rent Premium Beach Chair Space at the water park. For $40 (+ tax) per day you get - 2 lounge chairs, a parasol, a cocktail table and 2 towels. Available on a walk-up basis only.
Bomb Scare
The device that caused the shutdown of the Walt Disney World transportation system last Thursday has now been identified. When it was discovered under a WDW bus, the bomb squad were called outand buses didn’t run for two hours, leaving guests stranded. The suspect device has now been identified as an old tire-pressure monitor. It was a prototype device installed on one bus back in 1998, but the maintenance crew who spotted it last week weren’t familiar with it and thought it was suspicious.
Cirque Price Increase
Cirque du Soleil La Nouba ticket prices are increasing on October 6, 2009. New ticket prices are listed here.
No more Beef Hot Dogs
Walt Disney World will no longer be serving all-beef hot dogs. Instead they will be made with a mixture of beef and chicken, presumably to cut costs even further.
New Discount?
Touring Plans are reporting rumors of a new discount which may be released next week - possibly the return of the 7 nights for 4 offer.
