Name change for Cinderella’s Royal Table dining
Beginning Feb. 7, 2010, Fairytale Dining will be the new name for the character dining experience at Cinderella’s Royal Table.
Once guests enter the Castle foyer, they will have a photo opportunity with Cinderella as she welcomes them to the feast. Upstairs in the enchanted dining hall, Cinderella’s royal friends, the Disney Princesses, will mingle with guests as they dine.
The current pricing structure will remain in effect.
Bye Bye Prince Caspian
The Prince Caspian meet and greet at Hollywood Studios’ Journey into Narnia attraction is set to close on January 9. The attraction itself will remain open.
Bad weather
Lower than average temperatures have been hitting Orlando recently. Overnight lows have been down in the 20s and 30s (F) with daytime highs only reaching the high 40s/low 50s. Frost has even been forecast for Wednesday night! The unusual weather has affected WDW, with Blizzard Beach being closed and the Spirit of Aloha dinner Show being cancelled.
Wishes Dessert Party
Magic Kingdom’s Wishes Dessert Party has now ended it’s run, and is set to return in spring after the location has been refurbished.
Picnic in the Park
Animal Kingdom’s Picnic in the Park is now only seasonal, with no actual operational dates released yet.
More Muppets
Starting this Friday 8th, guests at Magic Kingdom and Disneyland California will be able to see Kermit, Miss Piggy and Sweetums in a pre-parade celebration each afternoon. The Muppets will join honorary voluntEARS who will be grand marshals of the parades, in special vehicles celebratings volunteers.
Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee ends
Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee has ended it’s limited time performances at Disney World and Disneyland. The Orlando Sentinel reports one Cast Member as speculating that the show will be sent over to Disneyland Paris, while another reports that the show will return to Disney World once new performers have been trained up to replace the current WDW College Program performers.

Mr Lincoln Returns
Great Moments with Mr Lincoln has reopened in the Main Street Opera House. More details here.
DCA Preview
The Disney Blog have posted a 4 minute video previewing upcoming changes to Disney’s California Adventure Theme Park.
Captain EO Returns
Captain EO, the 3D film starring the late Michael Jackson, is returning to Disneyland for a limited time engagement. It will be shown in the “Honey, I Shrunk the Audience” theater, which has now closed in preparation, beginning February.
DISNEYLAND PARIS
Tower of Terror Tour
Tours of the Tower of Terror are being offered to guests. Held every Saturday, beginning at 9:10am, and costing €12 (€ 9,60 for Annual Passholders) . Advertised as providing the history and details of the attraction, followed by riding the attraction. More details here.
Fantillusion Dates
Disney’s Fantillusion will be performed from July 3 – August 29, 2010.
New Room Types
The three Disney value hotels are now offering upgraded room types. Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne is offering Rio Grande and Buffalo rooms, while Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe is offering Rio Grande and Eldorado rooms. The Rio Grande rooms promise more calm and direct access to the path leading to the Disney® Parks, and the Buffalo and Eldorado rooms are located nearer to all of the main hotel facilities.
From 2nd April, Davy Crockett Ranch will have Premium 2-bedroom cabins available to guests. Along with a convenient location near to the Davy Crockett Ranch Village, the cabins feature better amenities.
