New Resort Categories

From 2011, the Yacht & Beach Club Resorts will have a room category change. Standard view will just offer views of the parking lot area. Standard/Garden view will offer garden views.

Port Orleans Riverside will have a River view and a Water/Pool view category for 2011.

TTA Gets New Name

The Tomorrowland Transit Authority was renamed yesterday, as the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover. When the attraction first opened in 1975 it was called the WEDway PeopleMover, before being renamed the TTA in 1994.

New Brunch

Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen is hosting a new “N’awlins Brunch Fest,” held each Sunday morning from 10am-3pm. The menu includes items from the regular menu, a dessert buffet and kid’s buffet. A Bloody Mary Bar is also available, where guests can customize their own Bloody Mary, choosing the base, the liquor, the garnishes, and even the flavor on the rum. Entertainment includes live music, face painting and tableside magicians. Reservations are recommended but not required. Call 714-776-5200 to make a reservation.

DCA expansion updates

To make way for the new Cars Land at Disney California Adventure, Bountiful Valley will close on September 7 to make way for Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree. To make way for the new Goofy’s Sky School, Mulholland Madness will close on October 12, and the last time guests can go for a spin on Disney’s version of Mulholland Drive is October 11.

Release date changes

Monsters Inc. 2 release date has been moved  to November 2, 2012.

While the original version of Beauty and the Beast will still be re-released to Blu-Ray and DVD in October, the 3D version has been pushed back to “2012 or later.”
