Having previously enjoyed dinner here, when we got the free dining plan for this trip, Le Cellier was top of our list for trying again. The first time I tried to get an ADR at 180 days out, there were none left. Luckily our trip was for 18 nights, so I jiggled things around and tried for another day at 190 days out (we were staying onsite so could book 180 days from check-in plus another 10 days). There was plenty availability this time and I booked us in for 5:15pm.

We arrived a few minutes ahead of our ADR time and after checking in the Cast Member told us we could go and wait in the Kidcot station just across the way. Our daughters had barely had time to start colouring their Duffy bears when we were called in.

There are several different sections each named after a Canadian province. I didn’t catch which one we were in, or the name of our server or where she was from.

My only complaint here is that the tables are too close together, but that seems to be a problem at a lot of Disney restaurants.

Our server brought a selection of breadsticks while we were waiting for our mains: Sourdough, pretzel and whole grain.

DH had the:

“Le Cellier” Mushroom Filet Mignon
served with Wild Mushroom Risotto and finished with White Truffle-Herb Butter Sauce

He says it was one of the best meals of the trip, the filet was succulent and cooked just right. The mushroom risotto was a perfect accompaniment and a nice change from potatoes.

Being fussy and not fancying anything on the menu I opted for grilled chicken breast and fries. It was a good sized portion of nicely cooked chicken and chunky fries.

DD takes after me with her fussiness and would have quite happily had chicken and fries, but got spaghetti with tomato sauce instead! Needless to say she barely touched it.

Now for the best bit – desserts!

I’d been itching to try this for some time-

Chocolate “Moose”
Chocolate Mousse rolled in Toasted Chocolate Crumbs with Maple Leaf Antlers

The chocolate mousse was delicious, and the antlers added a nice crunch, allthough it could have been a bigger portion.

DH had:

Maple Creme Brulee
Classic vanilla bean creme brulee with caramelized maple sugar and triple berry preserve

I sneaked a taste and would have quite happily eaten this alongside my Chocolate Moose! It was wonderfully smooth and just melted in the mouth. I’ve since tried making it at home, and although tasty, my attempt didn’t quite live up to the real thing.

DD had the kid’s ice cream sundae which doesn’t show up well in this photo, but was basically ice cream and sprinkles.

Yet again we enjoyed our meal here. Both food and service was good, and even better as we didn’t have to pay the $85.64 it would have cost without the dining plan.

Le Cellier Steakhouse has just become a signature dining restaurant for dinner with a new menu, and now requires two table service credits per person. Lunch remains as before, with just one table service credit needed.
