Probably the most exclusive bar at Walt Disney World, the Top of the World Lounge is only open to Disney Vacation Members who are staying at Bay Lake Tower using member points. That means that anyone staying at Bay Lake Tower on a cash reservation, or DVC Members staying elsewhere, won’t be granted access to the Lounge.

To access the Lounge you’ll first need to “check-in” at the desk in the lobby of Bay Lake Tower.

A Cast Member will then escort you to the elevator that is reserved exclusively for access to the Lounge.

A large viewing platform is located outside of the Lounge, and again is for the exclusive use of DVC members staying on points at BLT.

You get the most amazing views from the viewing area, over the Magic Kingdom and Seven Seas Lagoon, especially at sunset.

Many people gather up here to watch Wishes each evening for a spectacular view of the fireworks show, the music is even piped in.

When you enter the Top of the World Lounge the first thing that’ll catch your eye is the wonderful chandelier hanging from the ceiling.

Guests can sit at the bar or on one of the many chairs and comfy seats, where they can watch sporting events on one of the TV screens. If you’re sat at one of the seats away from the bar, a server will come to your table and take your order. A full drinks menu is available, along with a small snack menu.

The window behind the bar features a beautiful stained glass image of two monorails.

Want a little more privacy? Sit in this little section set back from the main Lounge area.

The view from the back side of the Lounge is pretty good too, looking over Bay Lake, you can even see the WDW Swan and Dolphin hotels in the distance.
