New Parade
Block Party Bash at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is to be replaced next year. The new parade will still feature Pixar characters, but with the addition of Remy and Emile from “Ratatouille” and Carl and Russell from Disney/Pixar’s “Up,” who are not in the current parade. Block Party Bash will have its final run on January 1, with the new parade debuting on January 16, 2011. The tentative name for the new parade is Pixar Pals Cavalcade. continue reading…

New restaurants have been added to Tables in Wonderland beginning this month:
Chef Mickey’s Lunch
A lunch buffet will be available at Chef Mickey’s (Contemporary Resort) through August 28, and September 19 – October 2. Lunch hours are 12:30-2:30 p.m. Cost is $28.75 including tax, $15.97 ages 3 to 9, under 3 free. Characters will be there, just as they are at breakfast and dinner. continue reading…

Food and Wine Festival
Disney have released preview photos of two of the new dishes at this year’s Food & Wine Festival.
Freshly baked waffles with berry compote and whipped cream paired with Godiva chocolate iced coffee are on the menu in the new Belgium tasting marketplace.
The United States pavilion goes from garden to table with a sampling of heirloom tomatoes with Oregon blue cheese, red onions and fresh basil.

New Epcot Pavilion?
Rumors have once again surfaced of a new pavilion at Epcot’s World Showcase. Spain is apparently the favorite to be added between France and Morocco. The country has been mentioned several times before but has never gone ahead. Watch this space!

New Themed Rooms?
Several people have reported receiving surveys from Disney asking their opinions on two new hotel room themes. Following on from the success of the pirate themed rooms at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, the new room themes are Haunted Mansion and Royal rooms. The Haunted Mansion rooms feature floating Doom Buggy beds, and a sliding bookcase that creates a hidden passage to the bathroom. Guests could also look forward to seeing glow-in-the-dark, cartoon-like footsteps mysteriously appear on the ceiling as the evening sets in, and a ghost appear in the mirror. Remember that these rooms appear to only be at the concept stage, and there’s no knowing if they’ll actually be put into place anywhere. However, if they are, I’d expect the Haunted Mansion themed rooms to go at Port Orleans French Quarter, and the Royal rooms to go in Port Orleans Riverside.

Ticket Price Increase
As expected (although a few days later), Disney are increasing their ticket prices from Thursday August 5th.
