Soarin' Over California

Feel the wind in your hair as you embark on a simulated hang glider tour of California!

"Soarin'" literally lifts guests 40 feet aloft inside a giant projection screen dome. From all sides -- up, down, left and right -- their field of vision is completely surrounded and filled with the beauty and wonder of the state of California as their flying theater seats take them on an unforgettable journey.

Enjoy breath-taking vistas of San Francisco, Redwood Creek, Napa Valley, Monterey, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite National Park, Palm Springs, Camarillo, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, San Diego, Malibu and Los Angeles. The finale sees you flying high above Main Street U.S.A. in Disneyland at Christmastime, where you'll see the Christmas parade and fireworks over Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Guests are first ushered into one of three pre-show rooms - "Alpha Gate", "Bravo Gate", or "Charlie Gate." Here a pre-show video is shown, hosted by actor Patrick Warburton who plays the chief flight attendant, Patrick.

Once safely seated, the carriages are lifted forward and up into the air, so your feet are left dangling. The movie is projected onto a large screen, so all you can see are the projected images, making you feel like you are flying.

Smell the orange blossoms as you fly above the orange groves, the aroma of evergreens in the mountain scene, the sea breeze as you glide over Malibu and Monterey and the scent of sagebrush over Palm Springs and the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.
