Look out for the hidden Mickey on a house in the Cinderella scene.
An original attraction that opened with the park on July 17, 1955. For the first year there were just canal boats, the Storybook Land part was only added in 1956.
The attraction is kept up to date with scenes from contemporary Disney stories.
The lighthouse at the entrance was originally a ticket booth, from when guests had to present tickets to ride each attraction.
Storybook Land Canal Boats was a "D-ticket" ride.
All of the boats are named after female Disney characters, with the exception of "Flower," the male skunk from Bambi. Their names are: Ariel, Alice, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Daisy, Faline, Flora, Fauna, Flower, Katrina, Merryweather, Snow White, Tinker Bell, Wendy.
Miniature scenes include: Toad Hall (The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad), The dwarfs' cottage and mine (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs), The Sultan's palace (Aladdin), village and castle (Cinderella), King Triton's Castle - hidden behind the waterfall (Little Mermaid).
The miniature houses are fitted with tiny doors so that the electricians can change the lightbulbs inside.
The canal contains 465,000 gallons of water. It flows via underground pipes to the Sleeping Beauty Castle moat, the Jungle Cruise and through to the Rivers of America, where it is pumped back to Storybook Land.
