Walt Disney TV Studios

Discovering Disney Channel
Entering the first gallery, guests are greeted by the voice of Miss Finster (from the popular Disney Channel cartoon, "Recess"). The host describes this core area of the building, with a little help from Buzz Lightyear, explaining how the Disney Channel is broadcast all over France from this transmission centre. The transmission area is the heartbeat of the channel's operation, and is one of the largest and busiest areas of the studio facility.  Pre and Post Production, which are situated just next to the Transmission Area, are also presented by the tour guide, and if a live show is taking place, guests can see how it is directed at the Studio Control Booth.

The viewing gallery offers visual access into the Disney Channel's Soundstage 1, home of one of the Disney Channel's most popular programmes: Zapping Zone.  Via special "one-way" glass, guests will be able to see performers and crew members at work on the colourful set filled with all sorts of wonderful props. If the visit takes place in between shows, the tour guide gives details of Disney Channel programming, while the TV monitors show clips of some well known programmes.  Guests are then 'blue screened' onto the Zapping Zone set using digital technology, with a composite image displayed on the overhead monitors.  At last, the guests get to be on television!
