Disneyland Paris is at its busiest during school holidays, especially summer. But this is also when teh parks stay open longer and have seasonal attractions such as fireworks and more shows. Check out school and public holiday dates here.
Quieter times of the year include mid-January through mid-March or mid-April through mid-May, although visitors should expect shorter park opening hours, and more attractions being closed.
Whichever time of year you choose to visit you'll find the parks are not as busy on weekdays. On weekends the French locals spend their recreation time at the parks, making them a lot busier, even at off-peak times of the year.
The different events at the Resort during the year can attract large crowds, in particular Disney's Bonfire Spectacular, which draws in many visitors from the UK. If you want to see the wonderful Christmas decorations and shows throughout the Resort plan to visit in late November or early December before the big Christmas crowds hit the parks.
Weather may also be a factor in deciding when to go. If you don't mind the cold and bad weather, winter may be an option. If visiting in summer, take into consideration that it can get very hot during summer months. Check out the average weather conditions here.
How long to stay for
First-time visitors should aim for at least a 3 night stay, but preferably 4 nights or more.
If visiting at an off-peak time you should be able to see and do more in less time than if visiting at a peak time of year.
Visitors who not only want to get the most out of the Disney parks, but also visit Paris and the surrounding area should plan to spend as long there as possible, at least 5 nights.
