About Disney Vacation Club

What is Disney Vacation Club?

Disney Vacation Club is an innovative vacation ownership program that allows members to purchase a real estate interest in a Disney Vacation Club Resort. Members can enjoy flexibility, as well as incredible savings at all Disney Vacation Club Resorts. You determine where you go, when you go, and how often you stay, with a choice of over 500 Member Getaways worldwide.

How do I become a member?

You become a Disney Vacation Club member by purchasing a real estate interest in a Disney Vacation Club Resot. This interest is represented by an annual allotment of Vacation Points, giving you the flexibility to customize each vacation you take.

How does being a member save me money?

By becoming a member you are prepaying for future vacations now, enjoying savings of up to 70% on select Disney Vacation Club Resort accommodations in only five to seven vacations. Members can also enjoy benefits such as discounted Annual Passes and other Disney Resort discounts.

What are Vacation Points?

As a member, you'll receive an annual allotment of Vacation Points, based on the size of the real estate interest you purchase in a Disney Vacation Club Resort. While a minimum number of Vacation Points is needed to join, you decide how large of an annual interest you'd like to purchase. Plus, you can continue to add to your membership as your vacation needs evolve.

Vacation Points allow you to tailor every vacation to fit your family's needs. You have the freedom to choose where to vacation, when to travel, how often, and the size of your accommodations - for every trip you take.

If your schedule doesn't allow you to use all your Vacation Points this year, or you'd like to enjoy a longer vacation next year than your current number of Vacation Points allows, simply bank your Vacation Points for future use. Or, if you need additional Vacation Points to plan this year's perfect getaway, borrow Vacation Points from your next year's allotment (restrictions apply).

Each of the accommodations has a Vacation Point value that is determined on the size of the room and timing of your stay. You use more Vacation Points for weekends and peak seasons and fewer during less busy times of year. And you use more Vacation Points for larger accommodations, like a three-bedroom Grand Villa, than for smaller ones like a Studio.

Currently, you can join Disney Vacation Club with an Ownership Interest of as few as 160 Vacation Points. Most Members begin with between 210 and 270 Vacation Points.

In addition, you can set sail for dream destinations on Disney Cruise Line or select from over 500 Member Getaways worldwide.

Through the Member Getaways Program, you may, for example, exchange reserved Disney Vacation Club Resort accommodations for a Hawaiian beach vacation, a Lake Tahoe ski retreat, an African safari or a Caribbean cruise aboard Disney Cruise Line. All accommodations are subject to availability.

Staying at a Resort other than your "Home Resort", or choosing a vacation from any of the Member Getaways Program will cost more Vacation Points.

How much does it cost to join?

On average, it costs about the price of just seven family vacations* to join Disney Vacation Club. But for that same one-time purchase price and closing costs, plus annual dues, you and your family enjoy over 45 years of amazing vacations. In addition, Disney Vacation Club offers many ways to make Membership affordable. Through special incentives and financing options for qualified buyers, you can find a plan that's just right for how you like to vacation.

*Based on an average cost for each vacation of $2,433, including tax, for a seven-night stay in a Studio at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort.

I'd like to be able to leave some of my stuff in Orlando rather than have to take it back and forth every time I visit. Is there such a service?

Yes there is! Owners Locker will store your stuff for you in secure accommodation between visits. They will collect it from your resort before you leave and deliver it back to you on your next visit. Click here for more details.
