Lion King is due out this October/November :clap: depending on which version you want. Disney have become very sneaky, they release the bluray double/triple play one month then the next month the dvd version because then most people would have bought the more expensive bluray double play version.
Lady and the tramp will be out next spring :)

Bambi was just released also . Pinnochio is going back in the vault next month . Glad to hear Lion King is being released ! :woohoo:

Lion King 3D you say? Colour me intrigued...

As for the release dates: the difference in price between a new release DVD edition and a Triple Play blu ray is usually only a few pounds, so you may as well buy the triple play versions now (often cheaper from amazon than the dvd versions are in HMV), then when you have blu-ray players throughout the house, you dont need to buy it again!

I heard Aladdin and The Little Mermaid are due out over the next year too.....Thank goodness for Disney movie rewards I have got so many Blu rays from this over the last couple of months (bambi, dumbo, alice in wonderland (animation) and a second copy of tangled)

any news if/when "Make Mine Music" will get an official region 2 release?

I have every other Classic on dvd, but only have an import from The Netherlands of this one :( It is region 2, but the packaging just doesn't look right with the others!

I have never heard of this one. Neither has DH which I must say is a first. He is a real film buff, like walking wikipedia of knowledge so I must congratulate you on that :lol:

Early signs show a uk release date for Lion king is going to be 7th November although still not showing is going to be all three films £55 on Blu-ray and £30 for just the first (well this is the initial price loaded onto the system but they usual drop before release)

I love the Lion King 2, but can't find it on DVD anywhere. Same with the Little Mermaid sequels.

This post was ages ago but you have probably seen that as they are being rereleased they are coming in a boxset with all the sequels too :0)
