ANAHEIM, Calif. – October 3, 2007 – Booking a Disneyland Resort vacation online is always easy, but now the process comes with a little character. When guests book a Disneyland Resort vacation online through www.disneyland.com (http://www.disneyland.com/), they now have the opportunity to schedule a personalized Disney Character Call from Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy or even a combination of those famed characters.
After booking a Disneyland Resort vacation through the Internet, guests will receive an e-mail instructing them to visit www.disneycharactercalls.com (http://www.disneycharactercalls.com/), where a special Disney character greeting can be scheduled. The user-friendly site provides simple, easy-to-follow instructions. During the first step, guests select which Disney character the call is to come from. Then, guests can enter the specific information for the call including the date, time and phone number. Guests may also choose for the call to be placed immediately. A reminder including the date and time selected for the call is sent by e-mail, as this information helps in preparing friends and family to be around to receive the Character Call.
Once the Character Call is placed as ordered, guests are prompted by a special host on the phone to gather family and friends and to press “one” when they are ready to hear the special message from their favorite Disney pals. Each call welcomes the family to their upcoming Disneyland vacation, with a fun message from Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse or Goofy.
This special feature is complimentary and is only available for Disneyland Resort packages booked through www.disneyland.com (http://www.disneyland.com/). The special Character Call feature comes during the Resort’s Year of a Million Dreams celebration, a spectacular Disney event like none other which celebrates the dreams of guests.
Disney Parks are celebrating dreams coming true, making literally millions of dreams, large and small, come to life for eligible guests through the Disney Dreams Giveaway.
Many money-can’t-buy experiences - from exclusive Dream FASTPASSES for popular Disney attractions to around-the-world vacations - are being awarded at random. In addition to the Disney Dreams Giveaway, guests are enjoying all new immersive entertainment experiences. At Disneyland park, guests are meeting, playing and learning their royal ways with Disney Princesses at Disney Princess Fantasy Faire, dueling with Darth Vader at Jedi Training Academy and creating mayhem with pirates at Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island. At Disney’s California Adventure park, guests young and old are bopping to the beat of the new High School Musical 2: School’s Out! street show, inspired by the megahit Disney Channel original movie.
Disneyland Resort features two spectacular theme parks – Disneyland (the original Disney theme park) and Disney's California Adventure park – plus the Downtown Disney District comprised of unique dining, entertainment and shopping experiences. The Resort’s three guest-welcoming hotels are the luxurious 745-room Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, the magical 988-room Disneyland Hotel and the "day-at-the-beach" fun of the 489-room Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel.
