Magic Kingdom Welcomes 1,000 Immigrants For an Independence Day Naturalization Ceremony

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- In the place where Dreams Come True, approximately 1,000 flag-waving immigrants from dozens of countries will realize their dream of United States citizenship during gala swearing-in ceremonies on the Fourth of July at Walt Disney World Resort.

For the first time in its 36-year history, Disney's Magic Kingdom theme park will be the backdrop as Disney Parks and Resorts and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) jointly host a "Dreams Come True" swearing-in ceremony on the forecourt of Cinderella Castle.

Presided over by U.S. Senator Mel Martinez, himself an immigrant to this country, dreamers from multiple countries will raise their right hand and speak the poignant words of citizenship. The ceremony will feature the presentation of the colors, the national anthem performed by Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Gloria Estefan, the Oath of Allegiance and the Pledge of Allegiance. The USCIS will also honor Estefan with its ABC "American by Choice" award for being an exemplary naturalized citizen.

Besides the keynote address by Sen. Martinez, festivities will also include, in front of Cinderella Castle, a stirring performance of "God Bless the U.S.A." by singer Lee Greenwood.

To cap a star-spangled morning, a squadron of Air Force F-15s will streak across the sky as America's newest citizens and their families join in their own July 4th parade down Main Street, U.S.A.

Fuego by Sosa Cigars Opens at Downtown Disney Pleasure Island: New Lounge Celebrates the Art of Cigars

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- The rich enticing aroma of premium tobacco welcomes cigar aficionados to Fuego by Sosa Cigars, an upscale cigar bar now open at Downtown Disney Pleasure Island at Walt Disney World Resort.
Cigar connoisseurs can savor a smoke and enjoy other tobacco products in an intimate lounge setting where premium wine, beer, spirits, plus specialty coffees and other non-alcoholic beverages are served daily from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.

The new lounge is a tribute to four generations of the Sosa family with pictures of family members decorating the walls. The gathering place blends contemporary furnishings and high tech with old-world charm. Pendant-style light fixtures adorn the room while a hand-crafted glass bar top resembles a floating block of ice. The back bar is illuminated with silhouettes of tobacco leaves and back-lit with images of fire. Custom-designed, hand-crafted wooden humidors hold more than 100 facings of hand-rolled premium cigars -- from the legendary Fuente Fuente Opus X to the highly rated house-branded Sosa cigars. An expanded terrace offers guests outdoor seating as well.
"The Sosa family is honored to open a second location at Downtown Disney, which will allow guests to indulge in life's simple pleasures," said Alex Sosa, director of operations.

Sosa Family Cigars and Walt Disney World Resort have enjoyed a long-standing relationship over the past ten years. Downtown Disney West Side is also home to Sosa Family Cigars, a premium cigar store showcasing a large walk-in humidor and the art of hand-rolling cigars.

Walt Disney World Guests Catch 'Pirates' Fever With Downloadable Treasure for Interactive Game

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Taking interactive ride/game technology to the next level, theme park guests of Walt Disney World Resort can download free, exclusive content and codes for the new Nintendo DS game "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End."

From now until Labor Day, guests of Magic Kingdom who bring their Nintendo DS handheld game console with the "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" game to the parks can enhance their adventure of the classic theme park ride, with free downloadable content such as costumes, secret locations, additional characters and weapons.

"X" Marks the Spot: Throughout each attraction's landscape in Adventureland, there are several hotspots marked with the traditional pirate's "X," the international symbol for buried treasure. Once intrepid gamers find the "X," they can turn on their game, and it will give instructions on how to download the booty. (Tip: Gamers should make sure they have played at least the first level of the game up to the first checkpoint -- Jolly Roger -- and have created a saved game.)

About Pirates of the Caribbean at Walt Disney World Resort: Pirates of the Caribbean has entertained millions of Walt Disney World guests on a thrilling adventure through dark, mysterious caverns where "dead men tell no tales" since it opened at Magic Kingdom on Dec. 15, 1973. Starring a comical cast of rascals, scoundrels, villains and knaves, the eight-and-a-half-minute Adventureland attraction sends guests of all ages on a rollicking boat ride to a Caribbean seaport under siege by a swashbuckling band of pirates. Flat-bottomed boats that seat 15-18 passengers take guests on a gentle journey through a flume containing approximately 155,000 gallons of water, but beware -- there's a single plunge down a 14-foot chute in darkness, followed by a mild splash.

For additional information on the game or downloads, fans can go to www.atworldsendgame.com/treasure (http://www.atworldsendgame.com/treasure).
