From a new parade spectacular with dozens of Disney characters to exciting new attractions and a magical makeover of Sleeping Beauty Castle, Disneyland® Resort Paris celebrates its 15th anniversary with the biggest party ever beginning April 1, 2007.

“For 15 years, Disneyland Paris has been making dreams come true for guests of many cultures, languages and ages,” said Jay Rasulo, chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. “The yearlong ‘Place Where Dreams Come True’ celebration has something new for everyone—and festivities every single day for 12 magical months.”

New Attractions and Entertainment
In Disneyland® Park, Mickey Mouse and dozens of Disney characters star in the all-new Disney’s Once Upon a Dream Parade. The colorful procession starts with a float featuring an open book to symbolize dream images coming to life, with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in a hot-air balloon, Donald Duck showering spectators with confetti, and Goofy, Pluto and Chip and Dale interacting with spectators.

Three new attractions debut at Walt Disney Studios during the celebration, two in the park’s new Toon Studios expansion. Crush’s Coaster family thrill ride plunges guests into the underwater world of Disney·Pixar’s hit animated film “Finding Nemo” with a ride on the East Australian Current. And Cars Race Rally, inspired by Disney·Pixar’s “Cars,” lets guests take a crazy spinning ride behind the wheel of a colorful convertible.

The fun continues in early 2008 at the fright-filled Twilight Zone Tower of Terror that dares guests to board a decrepit hotel freight elevator that hurtles through the “fifth dimension” in a pitch-black shaft, plummeting from the 13th floor.

Throughout both the Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios, there are numerous opportunities to see the Disney characters, including the new Disney Characters’ Express that transports a trainload of characters several times daily down Main Street, U.S.A. to meet guests in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.

And the “Place Where Dreams Come True” also includes immersive entertainment that draws guests into the middle of the action, perhaps joining Belle from “Beauty and the Beast” in the castle courtyard to bake a cake, or finding treasure with “Pirates of the Caribbean” buccaneer Jack Sparrow in Adventureland.

Each night closes with even more characters in “Candlelabration” on the forecourt stage, featuring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and other much-loved Disney characters in a lively song-and-dance finale.

As a dazzling backdrop for the party, Disneyland Park’s Sleeping Beauty Castle is artfully adorned with swirling ribbons and flags plus sculptures of 15 favorite Disney characters with birthday candles decorating the turrets.
