Disneyland Resort Paris Glows With After-Dark Shows This Summer
With extended park hours for the summer season, Disneyland Park continues the magic into the
night with one-of-a-kind spectacles and the sparkling wonder, “Disney’s Fantillusion.”
Every evening from 14th July to 26th Aug, the lights are turned down on Main Street, U.S.A. for
the nighttime wonder, “Disney’s Fantillusion.” Designed as a glowing, moving gallery for
audiences along a darkened parade route, the show uses a techno-workshop full of lighting
effects to re-create Disney heroes and villains and a fairytale ending.
With thousands of twinkling lights, the visual spectacle is choreographed to music produced just
for the show. Tinker Bell appears from out of the night to open the procession, sprinkling
enough glittering pixie dust to give Mickey Mouse an introduction. Mickey’s float features
flowing fiber optics and “a confetti of light” sparkling in the air. He plays the role of a lightcontroller
as he alters colors, brilliance and types of lighting effects in the shimmering garden
behind him.
As Mickey Mouse stops the parade, an explosion of light brings the arrival of Goofy, Pluto and
more Disney Characters in a colourful gazebo. But soon the “villains” create a world of darkness
with Maleficent, Jafar and Ursula overpowering the magic.
But like any Disney story, there is a happy ending with the Disney princes and princesses
turning the darkness back into light with bursts of colour and Minnie Mouse on a float alight with
fireworks.
As each day comes to an end, everyone can join the party as the classic Disney Characters
celebrate with an enchanting birthday ceremony, “Candleabration,” on Central Plaza.
Featuring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and friends in a lively song-and-dance extravaganza,
the party ends with the lighting of the 15 golden candles on Sleeping Beauty Castle.
‘Wishes’ video projection and fireworks Nightly
The power of a wish combines with magical moments from cherished Disney films and dazzling
pyrotechnic effects to create “Wishes,” the biggest, boldest fireworks show ever presented for
Disneyland Park guests.
Narrated by the Blue Fairy and Jiminy Cricket, who memorably served as Pinocchio's
conscience in Disney's animated masterpiece, the 8-minute story-in-the-sky spectacular tells a
thrilling, heart-tugging tale about making a wish come true. Will Pinocchio become a little boy
and Cinderella find her true love?
With video projections and fireworks, “Wishes” takes guests through treasured tales of
adventure and romance from classic Disney films, accompanied by brilliant bursts of colour and
light above, and around, Sleeping Beauty Castle. The show ends every evening in the
Disneyland Park from 15th July to 26thAug.
