As the holder of 3(three) whole Disney shares this news is disappointing :hehe: I thought I might just about earn enough dividend to cover the cost of a Mickey off the back of SW7's success but alas...

Perhaps worth noting this nugget though

"Profits at Disney's theme parks rose 22% in the quarter, mostly driven by visitors in the US."

I wonder if this is via higher park attendance or general price rises in pretty much everything at WDW?

I'm sure the huge ticket price rise has a lot to do with the profits rising. And food prices as well keep getting higher and higher. With the cost of gasoline way down from two years or even 1 year ago I'm sure more folks are taking advantage to travel. Plus don't forget this is Disneyland's 60th Anniversary so folks are flocking out there.

Add all of that to the much milder winter in the North East this year (still well below the average snowfall and higher temps this year) I have friends that are heading down today by car and more who are thinking its a good idea to get out while the weather is good for traveling
