Well it's not Disney but anyone fancy live updates from NYC???
How's the Astoria? Can't wait to hear all about it.
We're sitting in the lobby waiting for our rooms to be ready.
It's lovely. We're all shattered so no big plans tonight. Start fresh tomorrow.
Have you visited your first Deli yet? :hehe:
Definitely want a live trip report !
More, more, more! :more:
Yay!!! Love live trippies!!!
I was at the Waldorf-Astoria once many years ago for a wedding reception of a relative. I was stunned at the size and detail of the lobby and ballroom. Just seeing the picture of the lobby clock reminded me of the sense of awe and feeling very small.
Good morning! Glad you are all keen to have a live trippie.
We ate room service last night. Logan had been so brilliant on the journey as always, we felt he needed time to play and rest. So a lovely big bubble bath later our room service of piledhigh pastrami and chicken club sandwiches arrived. And delicious they were too.
Oh and as for our room. We're on the 16th floor overlooking Lexington. We have a huge room with separate dressing room with a bathroom that is full marble. Logan said "This toilet is gorgeous mam!" bless him.
Logan and Gary are napping at the moment, we were up at an ungodly hour! So I'm sitting in the lobby for the wifi.
Need to get hold of VA as yet agin Logan's child's meal was not delivered.
We have tickets for the statue of liberty at 10am.
See you later!
Have a great day!!
Have a fabulous time . Wish I could afford to come visit you , but alas with losing my job, money is tight .
Hope you enjoyed the Statue of Liberty.
Hello all, we had a fab day!!
The statue of liberty was Amazing!!! Logan loved the boat ride. We also bought some fab souvenirs there.
We headed to the 9/11 memorial next. We walked there from battery park which was really easy. We had passes for 2:30pm but at 1:30pm they let us in.
It is a breathtaking place, I'm so glad to have visited to honour the people who are remembered there.
We headed to the gift store as we wanted to make a donation to the memorial. Logan loved having lots if NYPD and NYFD bits and bobs.
From there we took a taxi to times square. Logan eyes lit up when he saw toys r us!!! He had lots if pressies in there!! We were so hungry by this point so went to bubba gumption for dinner. I had the most delicious cocktail there called a coronatini.
A quick stop in Duane Reade for some cans of bud light-thanks Andrew!!
We headed home after this to the comfort of our lovely Waldorf astoria beds.
More please - love the photos
Sounds like your having a blast  How is Logan with all the crowds of people in NYC? I know it can be a bit overwhelming at times even for me.
Thanks for reading. Logan was brill thanks. We had his shark mini backpack with a kiddy rein on it for security and in bigger crowds he sat on Gary's shoulders..
Did you all enjoy the trip?
We did thanks Cath. I'll do the next installment later.
This isnt live anymore but i will finish!!
So we headed out early next morning and had breakfast in a diner called Burger Heaven. It was delicious.
We then went straight to the empire state building. Two elevators to the 86th floor and this view!!
It was amazing!!!!
Next was onto the Rockefeller centre. We were undecided about whether to go top of the rock or not but decided to leave it until next time.
We did however visit the Swarovski store and made several purchases!!!
We headed back to the hotel next as Logan had bought quite a bit in the Lego store so we were weighed down.
Logan settled in with my parents and Gary and I decided to head to tiffanys. I had a lovely ring to wear on my right hand.
Deli stop for supper and all sleeping by 9pm!!
