I created this scrapbook for my brother David who we took to WDW last Nov.
I am so glad my brother was chosen to participate in the big finale!
Great photos - love the tutu
Fantastic Scrapbook  I love the pics Donna
That's fabulous Donna! You're so talented.
Check out part 2! Thanks for your praise. I realize I'm late getting this done, but we will be visiting soon and I'll give this to him for his birthday.
You are so talented!!!! Thanks for the ideas!!!!
I probably should have taken the pages out of the album before I took the photos, but I wasn't thinking.
What a great book!!! He's going to love it!
The pictures are great...hope he doesn't mind the tutu pic being posted...I'm gonna show my kids the pic. They are always complaining about how I embarass them...and I'm sure I do...but I haven't worn a tutu yet
OH MY WORD!!!!!! Love it!!!!
It is a work of art. I think he will love it.
He wasn't thrilled about participating, but with half the theater chanting "Go on David" over and over, he finally gave in. When it was all over and he came back to the table, he threatened to kill me - you know, the way brothers do. But when we got on the bus to head back to the parking lot, everyone was praising him for being so brave - especially the guys! And the kids were all excited about seeing someone "famous"!!!
Ha ha. We'll, i doubt he'll forget his Hoop de-Doo experience anytime soon. Certainly was a memorable moment.
Fantastic scrapbook though, very nice.
I think everyone should have at least one memorable moment on their first visit to WDW!
Great job! Definitely a great way of sharing memories.
Keep your fingers crossed, everyone, that he likes it! We will be seeing him tomorrow when we arrive at Mom's house. I'll give him the album then. I just hope he likes it...
Also, today is Mom's birthday. So, since we will be there tomorrow, I'm waiting to give Mom her birthday "card" when we arrive. Instead of a traditional card, I made her a purse out of pretty rose-patterned double-sided scrapbook paper (the reverse side of the paper has stripes in the same colors as the side with roses). The purse is decorated with sparkly things and has a large flower on the flap in front. There is even a magnetic closure on it. The handle of the purse is made of the same paper. I used a ribbon punch to cut out the handle. Inside the center of each "flower" created by the punch, I placed a tiny pink Dazzle dot to give it a little more bling.
Then I took some pretty tags and heat embossed things on each like "Celebrate", "It's your birthday", and "Make a wish". I punched a hole in one end of each tag and ran 4 or 5 pretty pieces of ribbon through the holes, tying knots in each ribbon, to form a sort of "book" made of tags. On the last tag I wrote "Much Love, Donna and John XOXOXO". And because the tags just "needed" something a little extra, I embellished each tag with paper roses, Stickles, Smooch - all sorts of things to make them pop. I'll place the little tag book inside the purse, along with some money (Mom says she needs to do some clothes shopping...), and I'll give it to her tomorrow.
:wow: how many hours did that take?
A couple of hours if you don't count the time it took for the Stickles and Liquid Pearls (I think I forgot to mention I used Liquid Pearls also....) to dry. I used all that stuff last night so it had the chance to dry overnight. I threaded the ribbon through, tying knots, this morning before I went to work.
