Wow what a day! I can't imagine losing one of my DD's (or them losing me ) - especially at WDW, because since 2004 DH hasn't come with us on trips. It's always been us 3-gals alone. Luckily, we've been so many years in a row/close together my DDs have a pretty good handle on the geography of the parks.
I remember on our last trip I'd bought ponchos before we left home (because they're SOOOO expensive there). The girls wanted to do a Kim Possible Mission in Germany. I wanted to sit. Since it was raining 99% of the people there were in yellow ponchos, except my DDs who were in pink ones. They stood out like sore thumbs. It was great to get to sit and be able to track the girls while they rain all around the country.
That same trip we were eating lunch with Leslie at Sunshine Seasons and a lady caught my eye. I was watching a quick meltdown because she couldn't find her child. She and her DH had divided up to get lunch for themselves and their 3 kids. I think it was a case of each thought the other had the child. She was gripped in sheer panic (for obvious reasons). I jumped up and alerted a worker and several people started looking for her daughter. Thankfully she was found only a few minutes later.

Only just caught up on these - fab reports! I'm so impressed at how organised and creative you are
Love the pic of her in bed still wearing the ears
Lovely to see pics of you all together.
I can only imagine how scary it was to lose Tatiana like that, so glad you got her back safe :)
Looking forward to the next installment

As scary as it is to be a lost parent...you know that you are in the best place in the entire world to get lost in. We had an incident when my chidren were much smaller. It was scary beyond belife at the time--and the time lasted all of 5 mins. We were exiting a ride my wife and I dealing with our twin toddlers and each assuming that the other had their slightly older brothers hand. My oldest DS tends to like to get his own way...and he wanted to ride it again. As we were leaving the ride he (being small and sneaky) went backward and got onto a car with some other family. It happend quickley and no one (not even the cast members) noticed as he fit right in with the other group. As soon as we realized we had left him behind we went back to a cast member and they assured us that they would help us find him. A few calls around the attraction and checking some security cams and they told us that he was on the ride and would be back to the exit in a minute. As angry as I was that he did such a thing I was so relived at the same time... and the other family smiled and joked about us owing them a tag-a-long the next time we meet on a ride. It was over almost as quiclly as it happened, but it is still remembered today.Disney Dad

parents are always lost, not the children ;)
Disney security is awesome with the kiddos, I've had a few of them at Epcot end up at the main entrance looking for Mom & Dad. Most times, the parents were looking at Leave a Legacy and just went around a corner that the kiddo didn'tArtist formerly known as JuniorMickey
