Hahaha I love a good planning session as much as anyone in here but I think 12 years ahead is a little much
I don't know, I want to see some if the west coast for sure LA, San Fran, maybe Vegas but I want to see some of the national parks. What you have planned is amazing. I also like the idea of driving and of course having a few destinations set but enjoying the journey too. I usually find that you stumble across so many interesting that way. When we were kids me and my brother used to love playing the 'left/right game' where we used to go for a drive and our aim was to get my dad lost (which we never did) but we did find some amazing places that way purely by accident.

      Journey into Wonderland

Our next stop is further north in Jackson Hole - this is our base for two nights as we explore two new National Parks!

First is Grand Teton National Park which focuses on the peaks of Teton Range:

The second day will be spend in Yellowstone National Park - one of the oldest and largest national parks in the world, it's nicknamed Wonderland! Yellowstone is full of lots of different wildlife and geological phenomenons, including home of the original Artist Point:

Given the sheer size of both parks, that it'll be our first time visiting, the fact that we have little time and that it's going to be at the end of October we have decided to enlist some help to get the most of our time here Brushbuck Tours have been rated one of the best tour companies in the area by Trip Advisor With them we have booked a four hour sunset tour in Grand Teton on the day we arrive and then the next day we have a full day twelve hour tour in Yellowstone... both are private tours so we are able to work with Brushbuck to customise the time to focus on things that are of most interest to us I really hope we get to see lots of wildlife plus I hope we're lucky with the geyser eruptions too

Our first choice of accommodation here was the Four Seasons at Jackson Hole – unfortunately the resort is closed for renovations when we’re supposed to arrive. So some searching around has led us to a nice little place with good reviews – the Rusty Parrot Lodge:

From Jackson Hole, we then drive all the way back down to Salt Lake City, ready to fly to sunny Orlando

Still the booking of the Vegas hotel and Orlando hotel to go – plus the flights

This sounds like the trip of a lifetime. Wish we could do something like this.

It definitely is the trip of a lifetime... we won't have three big birthdays in the same year again in the family
