Wow great report getting hungry, enjoying learning about new places I haven't tried, kona or ohana but I love that style of food. Thanks for sharing! Getting my Disney fix from this.

      Liberty Tree Tavern -lunch

This was my first time going here. I was reluctant to make the ressie at first because I had read mixed reviews, but I remember reading Paula's report and her saying lunch wasn't too bad so I decided to go for it in the end.

We had a 1pm ADR, but we didn't get there until about 1:30 , but when we checked in they couldn't find us anywhere in their system regardless of the fact that I had a confirmation number. Nevermind though, they got us in as soon as they could and we waited less than 10 minutes for our pager to go off. While we were waiting we both made trips upstairs to the restrooms, and I do remember thinking that the restaurant was stinky, especially in the restrooms. Now it didn't smell like poo or anything, I think it was just the turkey and stuffing giving off a really strong smell, and thank God it wasn't nearly as bad when we got to our table.

We ordered the usual, a coke and diet coke, and I ordered the Colony Salad: Washington Apples, Sweet Pecans, Applewood-smoked Cheddar, Craisins Dried Cranberries, and Grilled Chicken tossed with Field Greens in a Honey-Shallot Vinaigrette. I thought this was really good, it was really big and there was a lot of lettuce in it, so I ended up picking out everything else and leaving a lot of lettuce in the bowl. Devan ordered the Angus Chuck Cheeseburger topped with your choice of bacon and cheddar or mushrooms and provolone served with fresh fruit or tavern fries. I think that he opted for the mushrooms and provolone and liked it pretty well (I think he finished it). I tried one of his french fries and they were pretty good.

For dessert I had the Johnny Appleseet Cake: tavern-made white cake filled with apples and craisins dried cranberries, topped with ice cream and Devan had the Martha Washington's Cake: a slice of rich chocolate cake, layered with a liberating chocolate-coffee icing. Both desserts were really good! I was glad that I only ordered a salad that I couldn't finish because there was nothing left of the cake!

Would we return? Probably. This has been my favorite restaurant in the MK so far, but there are so many other places to try. The only thing that would keep me from coming back is the memory of that awful smell. At least next time I know to go to the restroom BEFORE I go in to eat!!

      Price: Salad @ $14.49, burger @ $12.99, drinks @ $2.99 each, apple cake @ $7.49 and chocolate cake @ $7.99. Grand total $48.94 plus tax and tip.

Another great report Leslie :) We're thinking of LTT for our next trip - we'll be sure to use the restrooms before

I think If I was to go back to LTT it would be for lunch. Sound’s reasonable from those who’ve reviewed it of late.
      Was service ok Leslie?

Thanks for the LTT update. We've only eaten here once, way back when it was a character dinner. Sounds like a great filling late -lunch idea.

I love LTT for lunch. Although i always order the same thing, New England Clam Chowder and a Pot Roast. It's my favourite thing I've eaten in WDW that isn't BBQ based.

The service wasn't horrible. There were only two of us and we were seated next to a pretty large party so they got way more attention than we did.

      Aloha Isle - snack

I know this isn't really a meal, but I had to include it since it is one of my favorites. I stopped here and got a pineapple dole whip. For those of you who don't know, it is soft serve ice cream available in pineapple, vanilla or orange. You can also get it in a swirl, but I haven't done that yet.

Would we return? Yes! And we tried to because Devan wanted a slice of fresh pineapple, but the line was about 50 people long on either side so we opted not to.

Price: One dole whip @ $3.49 plus tax.
