      More Downtown Disney Rumours

      From Screamscape

(5/27/08) Today we received yet another hint as to what new restaurant concepts could be on the way to Downtown Disney. Apparently there is a good rumor going around that one of the new Grand Luxe Café restaurants, from the creator of the Cheesecake Factory, is in development for somewhere on property.

On a possibly related or note, we’ve also heard a rumor that a Dave & Busters location may also be in preparation to open somewhere in Orlando. While D&B’s come in various sizes, the typical site is quite large and typically consists of a bar, a full size table service restaurant, a large arcade, a pool table lounge, some private rooms for special events and some even feature a small bowling alley. Certainly a building the size of the Virgin Megastore or even DisneyQuest would be large enough to house a D&B site if needed. Though previous rumors in years past of D&B coming to O-town always seemed to focus on them looking at sites away Disney and closer to the Mall At Millennia or even at Festival Bay.

Grand Luxe is okay, but soooo slow.

DBF and I like Dave and Busters for a fun night out.... typical bar food with a really good arcade

Festival Bay is nearly deserted. They surely need something there to liven it up. It has some fairly decent restaurants, but no other reason to really go there and we don't find it very convenient.
