Room Blocks

When you hold a Fairy Tale Wedding at Walt Disney World your guests
will be entitled to book discounted rooms at Walt DIsney World Resorts.
Around the time you sign your letter of agreement (8 months from
your wedding date), your Sales Manager will send you information
on room blocks. You will be provided with discounted rates for most
Disney Resort hotels.
You must then choose between 1 and 4 of those resorts to offer your
guests. Most people choose 3, one from each resort category - value,
moderate, deluxe.
You will also be given a form to fill in, showing how many nights
and rooms you want to block off at each resort.
The maximum number of room nights you can block is based on your
minimum room night guarantee, which is based on the number of guests
you are expecting-
10 - 40 guests = 25 room nights
41 - 75 guests = 50 room nights
76 or more guests = 75 room nights
You are allowed to block off 20% more than you are guaranteeing.
So if you have a guarantee of 50 room nights, you can block off 60
room nights.
The form will look something like this-
You need to fill the form in, starting off with the dates you want
your room block to start, and when it will end. Work out roughly
how many rooms you would like at each resort each night. It's impossible
to know where every one of your guests will want to stay, so this
will be an estimate. It may help you if you are able to contact your
guests beforehand to get a rough idea of which resorts they would
prefer, when they are arriving, and which nights they are likely
to be staying at the resort.
As a rough guide, your guests are more likely to stay at the resort
on the night of the wedding, and the days either side.
Don't worry about running out of room nights, or having the wrong
nights blocked off. If your room block gets booked up, just contact
your Sales Manager or Wedding Planner and they will add more room
nights to your block, or alter dates.
Each resort room you block for each night counts as one room night.
This is an example of a form filled in using a room block of 60
room nights-

Guests can book rooms at the room block resorts via your Disney
wedding website, or through group reservations on (407) 824-1383.
If you have guests staying at Disney Resorts, but who have booked
independently and not using room block rooms, you can still include
these towards your minimum room night guarantee. Just give their
reservation numbers to your Wedding Planner, and he/she will count
them towards the final number.
