The story of Quasimodo, a bell ringer who lives a lonely life in his belltower.
Urged on by his gargoyle friends, Victor, Hugo and Laverne, but against the orders of the Minister of Justice Frollo, his surrogate father, Quasimodo ventures out of his tower into the streets of Paris. There, he meets Esmeralda, a gypsy girl, and falls in love. But he is heartbroken when he finds out that his new friend Phoebus and Esmeralda are in love with one another.
