The restaurant features coastal cuisine incorporating
an innovative selection of fresh seafood with both international
and New American culinary influences.
Designed by highly acclaimed designer Jeffery Beers, the interior
offers guests an energetic and vibrant atmosphere with a dash
of playfulness. Subtle hints and hues of the interior reflect
an underwater odyssey with such features as: a school of aluminum
fish swimming above a glowing, blue, glass bar; blue carpeting
displaying a pattern of water droplets; and whimsical, bubble
light fixtures overhead.
The menu invites guests to sample fruits and treasures from
the sea such as an immense raw bar selection and Todd English’s
signature “Dancing Fish,” which spit roasts an assortment
of fresh fish over an open fire pit. English has drawn on the
culinary traditions of coastal cultures from around the globe,
imprinting
each with his own New American interpretation and has “recaptured” the
freshness of fish.
The idea for the name “bluezoo” came about while
English was watching an IMAX movie about underthe-sea creatures
with his children. The variety of underwater life, sparked a
name in English’s mind-“bluezoo”- symbolizing
the underwater nature and diversity of options from the sea.
