Fantasmic!

Another dream comes true at Walt Disney World Resort, only this time it's Mickey Mouse's dream that comes to life in a brilliant display of lights, lasers, fireworks and water animation at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

The 25-minute spectacular "Fantasmic!" features 50 performers and combines dazzling special effects, colorful pyrotechnic explosions, beloved Disney characters, animation and dancing waters synchronized to the melodies of timeless Disney classics. The presentation lights up the sky nightly above the 6,900-seat amphitheater behind The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror off Sunset Boulevard. The specially designed amphitheater also can accommodate 3,000 standing guests.

Try to arrive 1-2 hours before showtime to get a seat. Good seats are usually taken about 1½ - 2 hours before the show starts. Seating starts 90 minutes before showtime, and queues often form well beforehand.
The best views are where you can see the front of one of the three water screens.
Seats on the first few rows can get wet with spray from the water screens.
If there are two shows on one night, the second one will be less busy.
The "Fantasmic! Dining Experience," includes dinner at one of three selected restaurants, and seating in a reserved section.

In the grand finale, 26 Disney characters cruise across the moat aboard a replica of the "Steamboat Willie" boat. At 80 feet long, it's larger than Christopher Columbus' Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria.
"Fantasmic!" premiered at Disneyland® park in May 1992. This production, though similar, features original sequences.
Maleficent as the dragon has a wingspan of 50ft, rises 50ft into the air, and weighs 32,000lbs.
The moat surrounding the island contains around 1.9 million gallons of water, but is only 1.5ft deep.
The 80ft replica of Steamboat Willie is the only boat in the show that runs on a track.
