SPLASH MOUNTAIN

Rising high above Frontierland's very own Briar Patch stands 'Splash Mountain' a white water adventure based around the 1946 Disney Classic "Song of the South."

Guests board 8-seater logs and begin their climb towards the summit to meet a host of critter characters who help weave the tale of Brer Rabbit and his hapless pursuers, Brer Fox and Brer Bear. Brer Frog (aka Uncle Remus) narrates as you follow the attempts of Brer Fox and Brer Bear to get their hands on the wily hare, through a number of twists, turns and drops, all the time to the musical tunes made famous by the film, such as "Laughing Place" and "Zip-a-dee-doo-da".

Things take a dramatic turn however when the crafty pair eventually capture the elusive rabbit and you head skyward once more before plummeting 50 feet into the Briar Patch below, getting a soaking into the bargain!

The ride culminates in a rousing final scene that features one of the biggest animated props ever, a showboat complete with numerous audio-animatronic characters in celebratory mood at the triumphant homecoming of Brer Bear.

Hidden Mickeys

In the "Zip-A-Dee-Do-Da" riverboat scene, near the end of the attraction, look out for Mickey lying on his back amongst the pink clouds to the right of the riverboat.

In the scene where you find Brer Frog sitting on an alligator fishing, nearby to him are three red and white fishing bobs arranged into a familiar shape.

# In the queue area, there is an acorn bird house in amongst the trees. On the side of this, below the roof there is a hidden Mickey formed from one large and two smaller acorns.
