Disney's PhotoMovie

Create a one of a kind vacation keepsake that combines your memories with the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort.

All you have to do is visit Disney's PhotoMovie and then follow the easy on screen instructions to add your own digital photos and your Disney's PhotoPass images to create the DVD. Your PhotoMovie is then treated with some Disney Magic which creates a wonderful personalized Disney's PhotoMovie DVD which has video, characters and music with your favorite photos.

Your PhotoMovie DVD includes the following:

  • A customized Top Menu title screen with the title of your choice
  • Your personalized PhotoMovie combines Disney video, characters and music with your favourite photos.
  • You can include up to 7 themed chapters with as many as 112 of your own photos added in.

Chapter options include:

  • The Magic Kingdom Park  - up to 16 photos
  • Epcot - up to 14 photos
  • MGM Studios - up to 16 photos
  • Animal Kingdom - up to 15 photos
  • Beyond the Parks featuring Walt Disney World resort hotels, water parks and other recreation and entertainment facilities - up to 7 photos

A bonus slideshow video of all the images in your PhotoMovie, each displayed full-screen for 5 seconds accompanied by Disney music. Please note that the slideshow is a video, not a collection of individual images. The PhotoMovie DVD does not contain individually viewable image files.

Depending on the number of photos you include, the total running time for your DVD will be up to 24 minutes, up to 14 minutes for the PhotoMovie and 10 minutes for the slide show.

In addition to your own digital photos and your PhotoPass images, there are also professional Disney photos you can incorporate into your PhotoMovie for no additional charge.

The PhotoMovie DVD label is screen printed with Walt Disney World artwork and comes in a standard plastic DVD case with Disney artwork.

Tips

Here are some tips to make the most of the photos in your PhotoMovie:

Take plenty of close up shots of your family and friends. The PhotoMovie contains fantastic visual footage of the Walt Disney World Parks including things like fireworks and parades, Cinderella’s Castle and animals on the Kilimanjaro Safaris, etc.

Try to include shots of yourselves and your favourite memories, not just background scenery.

Use your PhotoPass photographs from all four Disney theme parks – these can be included in your PhotoMovie at no extra charge.

Uploading your Photos

Uploading your own digital photos to the PhotoMovie site is simple. You can upload up to 160 of your own images. Once you have uploaded your images, you will have the ability to decide which images to include in your PhotoMovie. (The PhotoMovie contains up to 112 images, depending on which chapters you include.)

Before you begin uploading, put all of the photos you wish to upload into one folder on your computer so you can easily select them for uploading. Make sure that all the photos are the correct orientation, i.e. a photo of you stood in front of the Castle is the right way up and not on its side.  This will make sure the photos display properly in your finished PhotoMovie.

If you have many photos to upload,  it is recommended that you install the Multiple Photo Uploading Tool. This will enable you to upload all your photos at once. If you do not download the Multiple Photo Uploading Tool, you can still upload images one by one using the Single Upload tool. You can select up to 20 images to upload. Click "browse", select the image file to upload, then click "OK".

Supported File Types

DisneyPhotoMovie.com supports the following types of image files:
JPG - JPEG image
GIF - Graphics Interchange Format
TIFF - Tagged Information File Format
BMP - Bitmap image
PNG - Portable Network Graphic

Before you begin uploading images from your computer, make sure all of your photos are stored as one of these file types.

Please Note: JPEG is the preferred image file.

How long will it take to Upload my Photos

The time required to upload your images will vary based on the file size of the images and your Internet connection speed. It can take just a few seconds or up to several minutes to upload each image. It may take several hours to upload over 100 images of this size using a 56kbps modem.

Over a typical DSL or cable modem connection (256kbps), a single 500 KB image should take around 20 seconds to load; it could take 30 minutes or more to upload 100 images. Using a broadband connection images will upload much more quickly, however you may experience some short delays if you upload very large images or large numbers of images.

Adding you PhotoPass Photos

To add your PhotoPass photos you will need to enter the 16 digit Disney PhotoPass ID number from the back of your card. If you have more than one card, enter each number on a separate line. After you have entered the number(s), click the "Upload Disney's PhotoPass Images" button. Your Disney's PhotoPass images will appear in the "My Disney Photos" tab on the right side of the screen.
