Wagon Rides

For guests wanting to enjoy an old-fashioned wagon ride, 45-minute rides are also offered at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground on a first-come, first-served basis. The horse-drawn wagon rides offer a scenic tour through the forest trails.

Enjoy a 45 minute tour in an old fashioned wagon ride around Fort Wilderness Resort and Camp Ground. The ride leaves at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. nightly. All rides depart from and return to Pioneer Hall.

The Wagon Ride costs $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for children (3 – 9).

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Reservations are not required and are on a first come first served basis only.

Group wagon rides are available and can be booked by calling 407-824-2734.

Group rate is $300 per hour. The wagon holds up to 30 adults, or a combination of 35 adults and children.


Private Carriage Rides

Enjoy a private or romantic horse drawn carriage ride through the forest trails at Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.


Meet in front of the Pioneer Hall area. Departs from and returns to in front of Crockett s Tavern.


The first ride is at 6pm and the last ride departs at 9:30pm nightly


Cost: $35 for 30 minutes. Tickets sold by carriage drivers. Cash and Disney Resort guest room charges only (no credit cards).

There are 2 types of Carriage:


Small carriage holds 2 adults and 1 small child.

Larger carriage holds 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 small children.

Trail Rides

Active vacationers can saddle up for a trail ride at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. Riders mosey along beneath tall pines, bay trees and palmettos on this 45-minute wrangler-led tour. Tours leave several times daily from Tri-Circle D Corral.

Rides last approx. 45 minutes.

Riders must be 9 or older, and weigh no more than 250 lb.

It costs $42 per person and to make reservations, call (407) 824-2832.

Closed-toed shoes are required.


Helmets are recommended and provided free of charge.

Haunted Carriage Rides


October 3 – 18, 2008

Ride times: 7:30, 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, + 10:30pm (3 carriage rides at each)

October 19 – November 1, 2008

Ride times: 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 10:30pm (3 carriage rides at each)

Roam the woods of Fort Wilderness in your Haunted Carriage with a “Legend of Sleepy Hollow” theme.

Cost: $60 for up to 4 adults, or 2 adults + 3 children (aged 9 and under.)

Wilderness Lodge

Holiday Sleigh Rides

These are operated during the Holidays at Walt Disney World

This horse drawn “sleigh” ride is a fun way to celebrate the season at Disney.

Cost: $60 for up to 4 adults, or 2 adults + 3 children (aged 9 and under.)

Offered through different dates during December.  This 25 minute sleigh ride departs every 30 minutes from 5:30 – 9:30pm. (Note that on 12/24, the hours are 4:00 – 8:00pm)

Port Orleans Resort

Horse-drawn carriages (with retractable canopies) set out nightly between 6 & 9:30pm from in front of Boatwright’s Dining Hall.

Enjoy a romantic ride  alongside the tree lined Sassagoula River and past columned, mansion like guest houses.

The carriage rides start at 6 p.m. with the last ride each night at 9:30 p.m.


The carriage rides costs $35 for 25 minutes. Tickets sold by carriage drivers. Cash and Disney Resort guest room charges only (no credit cards).


Reservations can be made during the day at the Riverside Marina and are recommended, but not necessary. Reservations can also be made by calling 407-WDW-PLAY.


Each carriage can accommodate up to four adults, or two adults and two or three children. 


Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa

Enjoy a relaxing 25 minute carriage ride through Disney s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.

The carriage rides start at 6 pm with the last ride each night departing at 9:30 pm.


Carriage rides cost $35 for 25 minutes.  Tickets sold by carriage drivers. Cash and Disney Resort guest room charges accepted  credit cards cannot be accepted. You can make a reservation by calling 407-824-2832


Each carriage can accommodate up to four adults, or two adults and two or three children.
