Meet your driver-guides and board your 4WD vehicle. Note: Guests will not drive during this tour.
Follow the caravan to Câmara de Lobos, the most famous fishing village on the island and a favorite haunt of Sir Winston Churchill during the 1950s.
Make a short stop at Câmara de Lobos to take photos. Along the way, your driver/guide will provide interesting commentary.
Continue to Ribeira Brava and head inland over unpaved roads on the approximately 11-mile expedition to Paúl da Serra, the island's large interior plain. On the way you will discover small hidden valleys, each with its own unique eco-system.
Drive to and make a short photo stop at Encumeada Pass and enjoy panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the northern shore.

Take a 10-minute transfer to the marina.
Board the catamaran for a 3-hour sail along the picture-perfect south coast of Madeira. Soak up the beauty of the island while keeping your camera in hand for possible dolphin and whales sightings. Note: Although very likely, dolphin and whale sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Take a drive of approximately 50 minutes into the mountains to the Valley of Rabaçal. Descend from the plateau of Paúl da Serra to the Rabaçal guest house from where the hike to the Risco waterfalls begins (wear comfortable walking or hiking shoes). Note: This is an active tour including approximately 6.2 miles of hiking on uneven paths. Guests must be in good physical condition.
Follow your guide as you descend to the Levada 25 Fontes and walk along the path to a small lake at the bottom of a towering cliff. During the walk make 2 stops for snack breaks.

Depart from Funchal and drive approximately 30 minutes along the west coast to Cabo Girão, the second highest sea cliff in the world.
Continue to the village of Câmara de Lobos, home to many of the island's fishermen. The houses clustered around the bay are some of the oldest on the island.
