Vigeland Sculpture Park
The Vigeland Park is the largest sculpture park made by one single artist in the world, and is open to visitors all year.
The unique sculpture park is Gustav Vigeland's lifework with more than 200 sculptures in bronze, granite and wrought iron. Vigeland was also in charge of the design and architechtural layout of the park.

Viking Ship Museum
Part of the Museum of Cultural History of the University of Oslo, the museum houses archaeological finds from Tune, Gokstad (Sandefjord), Oseberg (Tønsberg) and the Borre mound cemetery. The museum displays the Viking Age Oseberg ship, Gokstad ship and Tune ship alongside sledges, beds, a (horse) cart, wood carving, tent components, buckets and other grave goods. Many Viking ships that have been found are intact.

Munch Museum
Home to the works of Edvard Munch, the artist famous for such paintings as "The Scream" and "The Dance of Life." This comprehensive museum exhibits over a thousand paintings, numerous prints, sculptures, historical plates and books attributed to or once belonging to the world famous painter.

Royal Palace
The Royal Palace in Oslo was built in the first half of the 19th century as the Norwegian residence of Norwegian and Swedish king Charles III and is used as the official residence of the present Norwegian Monarch. Located at the end of Karl Johans Gate, the grounds are open to the public for tours that will lead you through magnificent halls and grand rooms fit for kings.
Holmenkollen Ski Arena
The original site of the 1952 Olympic Winter Games and host to the world's oldest notable ski jump competition, which is still in existence.. A ski museum and a hill tower are also part of the Arena, one of Oslo's main tourist attractions.

Akershus Castle
Akershus Fortress or Akershus Castle is a medieval castle that was built to protect Oslo. The first construction on the castle started around the late 1290s, by King Haakon V, replacing Tønsberg as one of the two most important Norwegian castles of the period. Akershus fortress is still a military area, but is open to the public daily until 9pm. In addition to the castle, the Norwegian Armed Forces museum and the Norwegian Resistance museum can be visited there.
Nobel Peace Center
The Nobel Peace Center is a showcase for the Nobel Peace Prize and the ideals it represents. The Center presents the Nobel Peace Prize laureates and their work, and tells the story of Alfred Nobel and the other Nobel prizes through multimedia and interactive technology, & exhibitions. Guided tours are available.
