Behold a charming landscape of distant rolling hills and cobblestone city streets as you wind your way along the Mexican coastline during a 20-minute, air-conditioned motor coach ride to the city center of Puerto Vallarta. Upon your arrival, debark your air-conditioned motor coach and stroll along the picturesque waterfront boulevard known as the Malecon. Shop and sightsee on your own for approximately 45 minutes before boarding your coach to begin the second leg of your journey.

From the city center, journey south — past sloping hills and hidden coves — to a beautiful restaurant that offers stunning views of the Mexican countryside. Savor a refreshment and peruse some of the eye-catching work from a number of local craftsmen. Your children will delight in a fun-filled piñata party where treats will be had by all. Then, simply breathe in the fresh air as you gaze out upon your hillside perch and lose yourself to the striking unspoiled panorama that surrounds you at every turn. Historic Towns and Tequila Making

Discover the art of tequila production at Mezcales distillery and embark on a walking tour of three villages — Porvenir, San Juan and El Valle — seemingly untouched by time.

Abandon all worries as you gaze out upon the natural grandeur of Puerto Vallarta's distinctive landscape — brimming with gentle rolling hills and sweeping rugged terrain — during a relaxing 20-minute, air-conditioned motor coach drive from the ship to the quaint village of Mezcales, home to the Leyva tequila distillery. Upon your arrival, take in an informative demonstration on the age-old production of Mexico's signature spirit, from blue agave plant to fine liquor. Savor a sip of several types of tequila, and even try your hand at the famous "mashing process." After your delightful 40-minute visit, sit back and relax as you make your way further inland for a fascinating tour of three quaint villages, well removed from the hustle and bustle of the big city.

Following a 20-minute drive, arrive at the small village of Porvenir, and delight in a sample of homemade tortillas. Wander this sleepy town and behold a way of life that hasn't changed in well over a hundred years. After your 20-minute visit, journey to another charming village, San Juan, and explore the picturesque main square and old church. Learn the history of the town from your guide, and snap a picture under the shade of an old tree. Thirty minutes later, make your way to another historic destination, the quaint town of El Valle. Once there, visit several shops boasting handcraft goods, tour the town church, and stroll through the small square in the center of town. After your 40-minute visit, travel to a local restaurant and enjoy an authentic Mexican lunch. Then, take in a visit at a wood carving studio, and marvel at the craftsmanship of the local artisans.
