Catherine's Palace in Pushkin

Take an approximate 60-minute drive to Catherine's Palace, considered to be one of the masterpieces of world architecture. The lavish imperial palace was designed by architect Rastrelli in 1752 for Empress Elizabeth. She named it Catherine Palace in honor of her mother, Catherine I, who originally owned the estate. Note: This tour includes approximately 1.3 miles of walking at a leisurely pace, part of which will be on uneven and gravel surfaces, and approximately 40 stairs. Wear comfortable walking shoes. There are no elevators inside the palace.
Start the tour of the palace at the Great staircase by Monighetty which takes you to the state rooms on the first floor. The interior consists of a seemingly endless succession of state-rooms, which give the impression of a golden corridor.
Enter the splendid Great Hall. Light streams into this glittering hall illuminating the mirrors, gilded carvings and the vast ceiling painting.
Admire the world-famous Amber Room of the palace that was once considered to be the "Eighth Wonder of the World," and learn the fascinating story of this room.
After the tour of the palace, enjoy a walk in the park. The 1400 acres of palace grounds are dotted with charming pavilions set around the central lake.

  • This tour is available to Guests of all ages; however it is recommended for Guests ages 5 and older.
  • Wheelchairs (collapsible or electric) are not permitted. Tour operator will deny participation to Guests arriving in wheelchairs or electric scooters.
  • This excursion is stroller accessible. However, some portions of the tour may require Guests to fold accompanying strollers. In addition, lightweight strollers are recommended.
  • The order of tour sites may vary depending on traffic and overcrowding of venues.
  • Guests are encouraged to bring credit cards or currency to purchase optional extras such as souvenirs or snacks.
  • Food and beverage are not included but light snacks may be purchased at some photo stops.
  • Due to extreme limited availability of this excursion, Guests are encouraged to book early.
  • You should never feel that gratuities are expected, but it is customary to leave a tip in recognition of exceptional service in restaurants and taxis, and for excursion guides and drivers. It is always up to you to determine the amount.
  • Headphones will be supplied for this tour.
  • Guests taking part in a Disney Cruise Line Port Adventure are not required to obtain a Russian Visa for the scheduled excursion. Please note, guests wishing to go ashore on their own are required to obtain and carry a valid Russian Visa. Valid Visas must be obtained prior to sailing.
