Start with a short 15-minute (approximate) transfer by minivan to the RIB (rigid inflatable boat) pick-up location and board a RIB for a tour of the Stockholm's archipelago at up to 50 knots! The Stockholm archipelago is one of the world's most spectacular. Stretching about 50 miles east of the city and about 150 miles from north to south, the archipelago comprises 30,000 islands, inlets and rocks from big to small. Some are inhabited, while others are large enough for only a smattering of wildflowers. During the nineteenth century the archipelago became a favorite retreat for the rich and famous, who began to build summer residences here. More recently the archipelago has become a recreation area for the people of Stockholm, with summer cottages and an intense boating life. Note: Guests should be in good physical condition. For safety reasons, expectant mothers, Guests with heart or respiratory conditions and those with back/neck injuries cannot participate.

After approximately 60 minutes on the water, disembark on the picturesque island of Grinda, where you will enjoy a delicious Swedish-style lunch (included in the price of this tour). After your meal, you will have time to take a stroll or just sit back and take in the island's fresh air and natural beauty. Or maybe the cool, clear water of the Baltic Sea will tempt you to enjoy a swim.
After your relaxing stop on the island, re-board your RIB for the scenic and speedy return to Stockholm to visit the Vasa Museum.
Discover the story of how the magnificent ship sank on her maiden voyage on August 10, 1628. The Vasa ship was found almost intact in 1956, after three centuries on the bottom of Stockholm Ström (the Baltic), and was then salvaged. The Vasa is now the oldest fully preserved ship in the world and adorned with more than 700 carved sculptures; she is considered a national treasure.
