Situated on the French Riviera, Villefranche-sur-Mer is a small beach resort and residential town located between Nice and Monaco. It sports excellent restaurants and a coarse sandy beach much favoured over Nice's stony bay.

Take the Rue Obscura for an amazing walk underneath the city before touring the 16th century Citadel. Visit nearby Nice with its numerous cafes, museums and historical sights or live it up in glamorous Monaco at the Grand Casino in Monte Carlo. Monaco itself encompasses less than a square mile and is easily explored in a small amount of time. Further along the coast is Cannes, home to the famous film festival.
