You can control the rocket with the lever at the front, which controls the up and down motion of the vehicle.
Ride when it's dark and all of Tomorrowland is lit up.
When entering Tomorrowland from Fantasyland, walking between two walls, look up and around every 20 seconds, three of the orbiting planets will form a hidden Mickey.
Past incarnations of this attraction were called Astro Jets, Tomorrowland Jets, & Rocket Jets.
The ride reopened as Astro Orbitor in 1998.
Astro Orbitor is a replica of Orbitron, Machines Volantes at Disneyland Paris.
Rotates at 10 revolutions per minute.
Additional Information
Guests must transfer from their wheelchair or Electric Convenience Vehicle to the ride vehicle by themselves or by assisted by members of their party to experience this attraction.
Wheelchair Access: Manual wheelchairs will enter through the standard queue. Electric Convenience Vehicles (ECVs) will enter through the exit ramp across from Star Tours and contact a Cast Member for boarding instructions.
During inclement weather, this attraction may not be operating.
Not recommended for guests who suffer from motion sickness.
