Sailing Ship Columbia

Board this authentic 18th century replica of the famous American sailing ship, the 'Columbia', the very first US ship to circumnavigate the globe. Take a walk around the ships decks and visit the crew's quarters, a section of which contains a small nautical museum that explains what life would have been like for the ship's 1787 crew.

Once cast off, you embark on a short but enjoyable voyage along the 'Rivers of America', sailing past several of the waterways surrounding attractions. Tom Sawyer Island's Fort Wilderness receives some special attention as a member of crew fires a warning shot from the ships cannon (blanks of course!) as you pass by.

The ship's Captain narrates and barks orders at his crew, whilst some well-known sea-shanties provide the background music to  fully immerse you in the surroundings.

Please Note:- The Sailing Ship Columbia only operates during periods of high attendance, or when the Mark Twin Riverboat is out of service. When the ship is not operating, it is docked at Fowler Harbor near Splash Mountain.
