FLIGHTS OF WONDER
The Caravan Stage Outdoor Amphitheater plays host to this humorous and whimsical show which highlights the beauty and diversity of our feathered friends.
'Flights of Wonder's setting is that of a crumbling Asian fort, and its inhabitants soon make their presence known when they swoop high above the audience to take their place on stage. The shows focus is to display the birds natural abilities, rather than 'tricks', and to provide greater awareness on the conservation efforts around the world. 'Guano Joe' provides the comic relief as the resident tour guide and is joined by a an impressive array of birds, such as macaws, ibis, hawks, cranes and a singing parrot named Groucho! Expert trainers will demonstrate how birds respond to special audio and visual clues, how they hunt and how they eat amongst other things. The finale see's the arrival of an American Bald Eagle to wow the audience. |
