RAFIKI'S PLANET WATCH

"Rafiki's Planet Watch" deals with some of the less well known aspects of animal life, from conservation and the environment down to animal well-being and feeding techniques. Many different exhibits and hands-on activities are on offer throughout the centre's various sections.

The Affection Section
Allows the young 'uns to get 'in-touch' with some rare breed domestic animals such as San Clemente goats and sheep.

Habitat Habitat!
Teaches us how we can share the world with animals and features a discovery trail complete with Cottontail Tamarins.

Conservation Station
There are several areas to explore here, such as 'song of the rainforest', a 3-D audio journey through the rainforests with your guide Grandma Willow. 'animal cams' which provide live pictures of some of the animals in their backstage habitats. The 'indoor animal stage' which presents shows featuring the inhabitants of the conservation station up close. A veterinary treatment room and hatchery that let you observe animal treatments and maybe even see a bird or reptile hatch from their eggs! The 'food prep lab' where keepers prepare meals to keep the 1000+ Animal Kingdom species fed and many more exciting displays and exhibits scattered throughout the building that centre around the theme of wildlife preservation and conservation.
