MAELSTROM

Sail back in time through the Norwegian ages aboard a dragon-headed viking longboat and encounter mythical trolls, polar bears and the stormy North sea.
Your journey begins in modern day Norway, floating serenely through the Scandinavian fjords when all of a sudden, your boat is thrust into white water rapids that send you back to the 10th century, sailing past a viking village. A full-size Viking ship is in the harbor, being readied to be put out to sea.
Another surge forwards and you find yourself in a mythical forest, populated by trolls and water spirits. One of these creatures casts a spell over your boat which sends it backwards and perilously close to the edge of a Jutenheimen mountain waterfall. With disaster narrowly avoided, you are spun around and plummet down a rocky gorge into the North Sea. A storm rages around the gigantic oil production platform which fills the night sky. Calmness descends once again as you return to the present and enter a peaceful Norwegian fishing village where you'll dock and disembark to await entrance into the village theatre.

'Norway - The Film' is a 5 minute production which showcases Norwegian history and traditions, and takes a look at some of the countries wonderful scenery, celebrations and people.
