THE GREAT MOVIE RIDE

Lights, Camera, and…Action!

Located at the end of Hollywood Boulevard, This replica building of Mann's Chinese Theatre plays homage to some of the great movies, actors and actresses which have helped shape the industry into what it is today. "The Great Movie Ride" combines animatronic technology with live action and of course, the big screen, to help tell the history of the movies and showcase some of Hollywood's biggest hits throughout the years.

Guests board moving tram vehicles and will be introduced to a 'tour-guide', who will narrate and point out interesting facts about each of the scenes you pass through. Scenes cover almost every movie genre, such as romance, western, gangster, action, horror and fantasy and feature classic moments from such films as 'Casablanca', 'Singing In The Rain', 'Raiders Of The Lost Ark', 'Alien', 'The Wizard Of Oz', 'Mary Poppins' and many more.

There are a few surprises along the way, as one of two different good guy/bad guy scenarios are played out between your guide and either a mob gangster or wild west outlaw to add to the spectacle.

Your journey culminates in a stirring movie montage finale, piecing together dozens of memorable scenes from a host of well known and much loved films.

That’s a wrap!

Pay close attention to the film previews in the pre-show montage (shown on the giant cinema screen) as all of these will feature at some point during the ride.

Hooray for Hollywood," the musical number playing when you begin your journey, includes a line about Disney's own Donald Duck.
Take time to look at the props in the queue area, many are the real ones used in films such as 'Mary Poppins', and 'Wizard of Oz'.
