Tips & Fun Facts Turn the wheel in the centre of the cup to spin faster. It may only be a short ride, but you can get quite dizzy after riding, for this reason alone, eating immediately before riding is not recommended. Look out for the Dormouse who occasionally pops his head out of the tea-pot at the hub of the ride. Characters from Alice in Wonderland, such as the Mad Hatter himself, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum and the Queen of Hearts often greet guests close-by to the attraction. The Mad Tea Party opened in 1971 as one of the opening day attractions at the Magic Kingdom. "Alice in Wonderland" was one of Walt Disney's favorite boyhood stories. There are 18 tea-cups in all, which sit around 4-5 persons. Additional Information Guests must be able to transfer from wheelchairs to board the attraction.
