Old Key West Resort Facts and Fun

The Gurgling Suitcase pub gets its name from the days of Prohibition, when forbidden libations found their way to the U.S. in false-bottom luggage from Havana, Cuba, which is just 90 miles away from Key West, Florida.

Papa's Den, located in Hospitality House, is named for Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961), one of Key West's most famous residents and the author of The Old Man and the Sea and For Whom the Bell Tolls.

Disney's Old Key West Resort, the flagship property of the Disney Vacation Club, opened on December 20, 1991.
