The
Gurgling Suitcase pub gets its name from the days of Prohibition, when
forbidden libations found their way to the U.S. in false-bottom luggage
from Havana, Cuba, which is just 90 miles away from Key West, Florida.
Papa's
Den, located in Hospitality House, is named for Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961),
one of Key West's most famous residents and the author of The Old Man
and the Sea and For Whom the Bell Tolls.
Disney's Old Key West Resort, the flagship
property of the Disney Vacation Club, opened on December 20, 1991.
